Paintings of People inspired by their unspoken language
Watercolours by John Ridyard Artist / Illustrator / Publisher

More paintings by John that explore an interplay between
people, their imagination and emotions.
In this painting a visitor is enchanted by an exhibit at the Lowry Centre, Salford Quays; the background image is a reflection of the Lowry see in the Quay West Building.

At the Lowry

Watercolour.  image size; 48.6cm x 39.0cm.

The location is the Lowry Centre at Salford Quays.

I was really excited by the place, not just because of the Lowry exhibits but for this exhibition space that seems to overhang the water.

Here reflections from outside the building intrude upon the glazed exhibits; It was this that gave me the idea of introducing a reflection of the Lowry centre into this painting of a visitor enchanted by an exhibit. The subject is invisible to us, but it has transported the viewer into a world that is all her own.
