Susan’s Paintings of Montmartre

A Boulangerie in Montmartre by Susan Ridyard

Montmartre Paris, by Susan Ridyard. The brown fronted shop is a super boulangerie and just a little way further up and past the lamp post is the Place du Tertre. The Sacre-Coeur overlooks the scene.
This beautiful little Gouache (opaque watercolour) is on  heavy watercolour paper and measures 185mm x 183mm.

Susan loves the old villages of Paris as each one has it's own charm and identity. This little Rue winds up to the Place du tertre and the Sacre-Coeur in the most famous of these villages - Montmartre.
A picture gallery is on the left and a most wonderful Boulangerie on the right.

Montmartre is full of  cafes, shops and  picture galleries and has wonderful views over the city.
