Curving figures seeming to curve reflections of County Arcade in Leeds City Centre

Two Girls

Watercolour.  48.6cm x 36.8cm.   Spring  2005
The location is Leeds City Centre and the time Spring and the cosmopolitan city is alive with the young walking - perhaps parading in search of admiration. With this in mind I could not resist making this image and painting the reflection as though it was melting - disrupted by the young women as they passed by.

This is the third painting based on reflections and figures and it was exhibited in the 'Leeds Open' in 2005.

I used photographic references for all these reflection paintings, but not slavishly - only to record the intrinsic beauty in the detail of the subject.

These three paintings and 'he's cool' are watercolour on paper and for sale.
